1. Reasons for Amendment

Prevent safety accidents by strengthening the safety management of uninterruptible power supplies in blind spots for safety management among electrical equipment

2. Major Provisions

A. Establish a new definition of the term for power generation facilities* and strengthen safety management by adding the uninterruptible power supply to the approval and reporting of the private electric facility construction plan, pre-use inspection** and regular inspection***

* (Newly Inserted) Add the definition of the term “power generation facility” in Article 2 subparagraph 7 and include in the construction plan report in the same way as the electricity storage device even if the uninterruptible power supply under Article 3 (2) is low voltage

** (Amended) [Attached table 1] Add “uninterruptible power supply” to the approval and reporting of the private electric equipment construction plan

(Amended) [Attached table 2] Add “uninterruptible power supply” to the method of applying for and reporting the approval of the private electric equipment construction plan

(Amended) [Attached table 3] Add “uninterruptible power supply” at the time of pre-use inspection
