1. Reasons for Amendment

As the problems associated with a lack of toilets at construction sites and improvement of installation standards have been continuously raised, this amendment aims to solve the problem of a lack of toilets and improve the working environment of construction workers by clearly stipulating the number of toilets (toilet bowl) to be installed based on the number of construction workers.

2. Major Provisions

A. Additionally, prescribe the number of toilets (toilet bowls) to be installed based on the number of construction workers in the toilet installation and use standards (Attached Table)

1) Although the toilet installation and use standards, such as installing construction-site toilets within 300 m from the site, designating a toilet manager to manage them, and separating them for male and female workers, are set in the current Regulations, there is no regulation on the number of toilets to be installed based on the number of construction workers, causing problems such as a lack of toilets.

2) Additionally, prescribe the number of toilets (toilet bowls) that must be installed or made available based on the number of construction workers to solve this problem

3) As the number of toilets to be installed based on the number of construction workers is prescribed, it is expected that the problems associated with a lack of toilets will be resolved, and the working environment of construction workers will be improved.
