1. Reasons for Amendment

As the Special Act on the Improvement of Air Quality in Port Areas has been partially revised to reflect the newly inserted right to request related data, etc. to check the compliance with the emission standards of loading and unloading equipment, this amendment aims to determine the specific contents of the data request delegated by an Ordinance of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in the Act.

2. Major Provisions

A. “Specify the content of data that can be requested for the fulfillment of the right to request data newly inserted by the revision of the Act (Articles 7 and 9 newly inserted)”

1) Stipulate the data (engine power, displacement, production year, etc.) required to confirm the compliance with the emission standards of loading and unloading equipment (Article 7).

2) Stipulate the data (information on motor vehicles with the lowest emission grade, motor vehicles entering ports, etc.) required to enforce vehicle entry restrictions (Article 9).
