1. Reasons for Amendment
A. This amendment aims to prevent the omission of reports by integrating the infectious disease outbreak report form and the death (autopsy) report form and ensure thorough management of infectious diseases.
B. Newly insert a statutory form for the designation and revocation of an institution of sentinel surveillance of infectious diseases.
C. Reinforce the safety management when handling pathogens with additional designation of high-risk pathogens.
2. Major Provisions
A. Article 6 (Reporting Infectious Diseases by such as Doctors) and Attached Forms
- Add a connection system following the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
- Integrate Attached Forms for infectious disease occurrence report and death report.
B. Article 14 (Designation, etc. of Institutions of Sentinel Surveillance of Infectious Diseases) and Attached Forms
- Newly insert an obligation to issue a written designation and a written revocation of a designation to an institution, facility, organization, or corporation designated as an institution of sentinel surveillance of infectious diseases and add Attached Forms.
C. Attached Form 1 (Types of High-Risk Pathogens)
- Add three viruses (Chapare, Lujo, and Poliovirus).
