1. Reasons for Amendment
○ This amendment aims to determine the method of displaying the exhaust noise result values of motorcycle authentication test following the introduction of the “manufacturing certification noise level linking system” (Dec. 30, 2022) and improve the permissible noise standards of manufactured/running motorcycles in order to reduce noise damage.
2. Major Provisions
○ Specify the display items and method of the exhaust noise result values of manufactured motor vehicles (Article 34-4)
- (Display items) Display “maximum engine rotation speed” in addition to “authentication test result value.”
- (Display method) Display it with a sign on the body or chassis and permanently fix it.
○ Specify matters related to the establishment, operation, etc. of a noise information computer network (Article 39)
- Motor vehicle manufacturers shall provide vehicle identification numbers and data control numbers in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Management Act linked to noise authentication information.
○ Improve permissible noise standards for manufactured/running motorcycles (Attached Table 13 1 (e) and 2 (d))
