1. Reasons for Amendment
This amendment aims to improve and supplement technical standards, such as establishing new test standards to improve the quality of fire extinguishing agents.
2. Major Provisions
A. Remove acid alkali, reaction type, and dry powder/reinforced fire extinguishing agents (Article 5 and Article 6 (2) and (3))
B. Introduce the temperature rise test and dielectric strength test for powder fire extinguishing agents (Article 7 subparagraphs 9 and 10)
C. Use alternative standards following the abolition of KS standards (Article 12 3 (a))
- KS A 1602 (steel drum) → KS T 1076 (steel drum for liquid)
D. Add importer name (Article 13 (1) 4)
E. Introduce the durability test for sticker-type nameplates (Article 13 (2))
- Nameplate exposure test: 10 days at 80℃ and 48-hour immersion at 20℃
- Nameplate attachment test: adhesion over 0.18 N/mm
- Nameplate wear test: 500 repetitions using water with 18 N load
