1. Reasons for Amendment

This enactment aims to determine matters entrusted with respect to safety management of space radiation of crew members in Article 18 (7) of the Act on Safety Control of Radioactive Rays Around Living Environment and Article 10 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act and matters necessary for its implementation.

2. Major Provisions

A. Prescribe details necessary for exposure radiation dose investigation and analysis (Article 3)

- Provide methods for measuring exposure radiation dose, and prescribe in detail the requirements that the measuring equipment used for measurement or the exposure dose assessment program must satisfy.

B. Prescribe details required when implementing safety measures for crew members (Article 4)

- Specify exposure radiation dose control standards.

- Specify measures to be taken, such as changing to a route with a lower exposure radiation dose or adjusting the scheduled number of flights on an international airline route where a radiation exposure dose exceeds the standard as a result of investigation and analysis.
