1. Reasons for Amendment

The Automobile Management Act was revised to introduce a used car internet advertisement monitoring system, similar to the real estate false offering management and supervision system, in order to strengthen the management and inspection of used car displays and advertisements.

Accordingly, this amendment aims to outline the content, methods, and procedures for internet advertisement monitoring, as well as other necessary matters delegated by the revised Act.

In addition, the Automobile Management Act was revised to classify reports by inspectors on the performance and condition of motor vehicles as reports requiring repair, to permit motor vehicle maintenance business operators to temporarily remove license plates, and to prohibit the export of certain components from flood-damaged total loss vehicles.

Accordingly, this amendment also aims to define report procedures for the inspectors of the performance and condition, changes reported requiring repair, cases where license plates can be temporarily removed by motor vehicle maintenance business operators, types of some devices of flooded total loss vehicles that are prohibited from being exported, etc.

B. Temporary removal, etc., of motor vehicle registration license plates (Article 3-2 newly inserted)

C. Prohibition of some devices of flooded total loss vehicles (Article 25-3 newly inserted) 

D. Matters requiring repair on the report of inspectors of the performance and condition of motor vehicles (Article 120 (9) newly inserted)
