1. Reasons for Amendment 

This amendment aims to improve and supplement technical standards, including the establishment of new test standards to improve the quality of receivers.

2. Major Provisions

A. Introduce a classification standard for “indoor-types” and “indoor/outdoor-types” according to the installation location (Article 2 subparagraph 20)

B. Audible alarm when protection circuit is activated during power supply (Article 3 subparagraph 21-2) 

C. Introduce a fire indication test for multi-sensor detectors and analog cumulative-type receivers (Article 12) 

D. Introduce a fault monitoring test (Article 15-3) 

E. Install a device that transmits communication check acknowledgment signals and receives recheck signals when receiving an automatic communication check of a detector (Article 17, subparagraph 6, item (c)) 

F. Introduce a waterproof test (waterproof-type only) (Article 18-2)

G. Introduce an output voltage test and an instantaneous response test according to load current change (Articles 21-6 and 21-7)
