1. Reasons for Amendment 

The current Safety Control of Hazardous Substances Act stipulates buildings or facilities that can be installed inside a handling place for fueling*, but it is impossible to install “fuel cells (generation units);” therefore, this amendment aims to establish the grounds for installing “fuel cells (generation units)” in handling places for fueling and the standards for their installation.

2. Major Provisions

Newly insert regulations and standards for fuel cell installation in handling places for fueling (Article 110 (1) 6)

○ Add “fuel cells” to buildings or facilities that can be installed in a handling place for fueling, and specify in detail the safety standards required for their installation.
