1. Reasons for Amendment

Due to growing consumer concern around the safety of imported fishery products, this Amendment aims to develop a safe consumption environment and establish transparency and orderliness in distribution by extending the designation period of imported fishery products whose traceability is under management and modifies nomenclature in accordance with the amended Harmonized System of Korea.

2. Major Provisions

 ㅇ Extend the designation period of products subject to traceability reporting (attached Table)

- Maintain the current system by extending the designation period of products subject to traceability by three years.

 ㅇReflect amendments to the Harmonized System of Korea (attached Table) 

- Add the newly classified code 0309.90-2000 (pellet of scallops) for a previously designated product to the list of codes subject to reporting.
