1. Reason for revision

With the Railroad Safety Act (Law No. 19687, promulgated on August 16, 2023, implemented on August 17, 2024) revised so that the CCTVs to be installed in trains and on platforms to prevent railroad crossing accidents that continuously occurred recently and identify their causes are installed at railroad crossings, the aim is to prescribe the railroad crossing requiring the installation of CCTV under a Presidential Decree.

2. Main contents

A. Prescription of railroad crossings that require the installation of CCTV (Article 30.5 of the Draft)

Roads at railroad crossings and railroad crossings where there is a high likelihood of railroad accidents due to heavy railroad traffic shall be defined as the subjects that require the installation of CCTV.
