1. Reason for Revision and Main Contents

The revision allows the Director of the Korea Forest Service to designate national arboretums, etc. as national rare and special plant conservation institutions in order to professionally carry out projects such as the gathering, proliferation, and conservation of rare and special plants in accordance with the Act on the Creation and Furtherance of Arboretums and Gardens (Law No. 19882; partially revised on January 2, 2024; enforced on of July 3, 2024), and also stipulates the matters to be enforced regarding the law that has been established to prohibit specific acts in national and local public gardens and to allow the imposition of fines for violations thereof.
