1. Reason for the amendment

It aims to revise [Appendix 14] of the Enforcement Decree of the Child Welfare Act in order to provide statutory grounds for adding personnel to relieve the burden of childcare and improve the quality of care services along with the extension of the mandatory operating hours of neighborhood nursing centers (from 19:00 to 20:00) and the mandatory boarding of adult guardians on children's school buses (from November 27, 2022).

2. Main contents

a. It aims to change the standard guidelines for placing life welfare workers based on the capacity of neighborhood nursing centers to 1 person for those with a capacity for 10 to 25 children, 2 persons for those with a capacity of 25 to 30 children, and 3 people for those with a capacity of 30 or more children (1 additional person for those with a capacity of more than 50 children).
