1. Reason for revision

To ensure public safety with regard to drinking water by including new water supply materials and products—which have increased rapidly in recent years—in the items subject to hygienic safety standard certification under Article 14 (1) of the Water Supply and Waterworks Installation Act

2. Main contents

a. New definitions inserted for terminal water supply equipment and sealings (Article 2 of the proposed revision)

b. Add new water supply materials and products offering additional functions such as filtration to those subject to certification of hygienic safety standards (Article 3, Subpara 2, Item d of the proposed revision)

c. Add blocking supplies and materials used on the inner surface of water tanks supplying hot water to those subject to certification of hygienic safety standards (Article 3, Subpara 2, Item e of the proposed revision)
