1. Reason for revision
With the establishment of Article 20-2 of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, it intends to specify detailed matters concerning the timing and method of fact-finding surveys of pharmacies and the method of publicizing the results. It also intends to provide guidelines for suspending licenses or other punitive dispositions against violations based on the newly revised Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, which prohibits the offering and acceptance of unlawful economic benefits between pharmacy founder (including those who plan to open) and medical institution founder.
2. Main contents
a. The survey will be conducted annually and will include on-site inspections, document reviews, etc.
b. When evidence or suspicion of a violation is affirmed to be conclusive based on the results of the survey, the trade name and address of the pharmacy concerned and the full name of its owner will be published on the website of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
c. The proposed amendment provides guidelines or standards for suspending the license or other punitive sanctions against violations, as well as those for prohibiting the offering and acquisition of unlawful economic benefits between pharmacy founder (including those who plan to open) and medical institution founder.
