1. Reason for revision
It aims to complement certain deficiencies revealed in the operation of the Standards by requiring mandatory registration of the inspection history in the Port Facility Maintenance System (POMS) in order to systematically manage information concerning port facility maintenance activities, while also requiring a review of whether performance has been improved when the results of an inspection or diagnosis of port facilities fall short of the target grade.
2. Main contents
a. Addition of definitions for terms (Article 2 of the draft)
- Addition of definitions for terms such as management group, inspection and diagnosis, management level, target grade, etc.
b. Addition of basis for designation of management grade (Article 8 of the draft).
- Addition of basis for designating safety grade for other facilities not subject to the Special Act on the Safety Control and Maintenance of Establishments.
c. Addition of content to require a review of whether performance improvement measures have been taken if the target grade is not attained (Article 9 of the draft).
d. It specifies a time limit for registering information on the maintenance of port facilities in the Port Facilities Maintenance System (POMS) and the basis for substitute registration (Article 10 of the draft).
e. Modification of terms and phrases based on the Standards for Easy-to-Understand Legislation (Articles 1 to 11 of the draft).

f. Resetting the base date for the review period (Article 11 of the draft)
