1. Reason for revision

The aim is to establish a notification of inspection standards more stringent than those for general buildings in order to ensure the safety of flat slab structure buildings as a follow-up measure to take down the construction cartel following the Incheon Geomdan accident.

2. Main contents

A. Standards for inspection agencies to inspect equipment for flat slab structure buildings (Article 4 (3) of the Draft)

1) The building management and inspection agencies to inspect flat slab structure buildings with equipment shall be equipped with rebound hardness-measuring devices and rebar exploration equipment.

B. Standards on reinforcement inspection for flat slab structure buildings (Article 26 (3) and Article 26 (4) of the Draft)

1) Visual inspection standards for main structures, finishing materials, and openings are added.

2) Standards for equipment inspection such as design book review, non-destructive concrete strength estimation, and shear reinforcement rebar confirmation are added.

C. Standards on direct labor costs for flat slab structure buildings (Article 33 (3) and Table 1 of the Draft)

1) When inspecting the equipment for flat slab structure buildings, a chief inspector shall be arranged.

D. Standards for the costs of selective tasks for flat slab structure buildings (Article 39 of the Draft)

1) The cost of removing and restoring finishing materials according to visual inspection and equipment inspection of flat slab structure buildings shall be calculated by referring to accumulated data, etc.

E. Addition of regular inspection list for flat slab structure buildings (Form of Attachment No.2)

1) Addition of inspection report form to conduct reinforcement inspection of flat slab structure buildings.
