1. Reason for revision
The aim is to establish standards for the classification of and quarantine measures for contagious amphibian diseases as an addition to the revision (legislative notice completed) of the Enforcement Rules of the Aquatic Organism Disease Control Act and to clarify provisions by improving and supplementing some insufficiencies in operation.
2. Main contents
A. Establishment of contagious aquatic organism disease occurrence areas (Article 2)
Establishment of standards for establishment of occurrence areas focusing on aquaculture farms where contagious aquatic organism disease.
B. Revision of classification of contagious diseases subject to quarantine measures (Article 22)
Revision of classification of contagious diseases for quarantine measures of three kinds of amphibian diseases added as contagious aquatic organism disease.
C. Establishment of basis for use of guidelines for quarantine against contagious aquatic organism diseases (Article 23)
Establishment of basis for following the guidelines for quarantine measures prepared by the Director of the National Fisheries Products Quality Management Service upon occurrence of contagious aquatic diseases.
D. Establishment of regulations on follow-up measures upon issuance of information on contagious aquatic organism diseases (Article 24)
Establishment of basis to downgrade or cancel issued information due to absence of regulation on follow-up measure following the issuance of information on occurrence of contagious aquatic organism disease.
E. Others
Correction of words, etc. to supplement operational insufficiency to the extent that the meaning of the current regulations is not changed.
