1. Reason for revision

In order to prevent possible harm to consumers caused by parking heaters, the aim is to designate and manage parking heater products as consumer products subject to compliance with safety standards under the Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act.

* Parking heater: A heating device that warms the interior of the vehicle with heated air or water by burning diesel fuel without turning on the vehicle engine

2. Main contents

○ (Scope of application) Applicable to parking heaters that generate warm air or hot water by burning diesel, gasoline, and kerosene as fuel for heating

○ (Safety requirements) Prescription of Structure and safety (heat exchanger leak, internal pressure of water passage, combustion performance, safety device operation, environmental testing), etc.
