1. Reason for revision

The proposed revision aims to protect the rights and benefits of the users of air transportation services by specifying the obligation of the operators of air transportation services to notify users of the details and measures taken in the event of their failure to load checked baggage, as well as information concerning changes and refunds of unused air tickets.

2. Main contents

a. The proposed revision stipulates the obligation to provide immediate information when any checked baggage is not loaded on the designated flight (Article 5 of the Draft).

b. The terms and conditions related to cancellation and refund that airline operators, etc. are required to provide include the expiration date of the air ticket and refund-related information in the event of non-boarding (Article 6 (1) of the Draft).

c. The proposed revision aims to strengthen the information that must be provided on changes and refunds for unused tickets (Article 6 (3), Table 1 of the Draft).

d. The proposed revision updates such as deadline for review (Articles 12 and 13 Draft).
