1. Reason for revision

Parking heaters are not included in the items subject to safety management under the current Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act. Since they are distributed without applying the safety standards, they carry a risk of accident which may result in safety incidents. Therefore, the proposed revision aims to secure the safety of consumers by providing proper safety standards for these products.

a. Parking heaters are to be added to the list of consumer products subject to compliance with safety standards. (Appendix 6 of the Draft)
