1. Reason for revision
Revision of the Enforcement Rule to implement follow-up measures according to the revision of the Installation and Utilization of Sports Facilities Act (February 27, 2024) for strengthening safety management of sports facilities.
2. Main contents
○ It provides that education on physical fitness facility safety should be provided for managers and contractors of physical fitness facilities and physical education instructors for at least 3 hours per year (Article 1-4 of the Enforcement Rule)
○ No separate administrative disposition (penalties) is imposed on "non-serious defects" in consideration of the severity of defects in physical education facilities (Appendix 7 “Criteria for Administrative Dispositions”).
