In order to enhance traffic safety and prevent safety accidents involving transportation workers, the amendment introduces tracking management criteria for certain items in the medical fitness inspection for elderly taxi drivers, strengthens the re-inspection criteria for those who fail the inspection, and shortens the validity period of health check-up result notices that can substitute for blood pressure, blood sugar, and other inspection results. Additionally, the amendment adds clinics, hospitals, and general hospitals conducting medical fitness inspections for elderly taxi drivers as eligible institutions to jointly use the driver management system. As a result, these institutions will be required to input the medical fitness inspection results into the driver management system. This is in accordance with the revision of the Passenger Vehicle Act Enforcement Rules.
