Reason for Amendment
The amendment aims to improve consumer access to information and enhance the convenience of checking veterinary costs. To achieve this, it stipulates that veterinary fees must, in principle, be posted within the veterinary clinic, and for clinics operating websites, the fees must also be posted on their respective websites. This change addresses some of the shortcomings identified in the current system

Key Contents
a. Improvement in the Posting of Veterinary Fees (Article 18-3, Paragraph 2 amended and Paragraph 3 newly added)

  • Veterinary fees for consultations and treatments must be posted either within the veterinary clinic or on the clinic's website. However, posting the fees within the clinic is now the standard, and clinics operating websites must also post the fees on their respective websites.

b. Change in Photo Specifications for Veterinary License Issuance (Article 2, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 amended)

  • The photo specifications for individuals applying for a veterinary license after passing the national veterinary examination will be changed from a half-length photo (3 cm wide and 4 cm tall) to a passport-sized photo (3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm tall).

c. Change in Photo Specifications for Veterinary License Reissuance (Article 4, Subparagraph 1 amended)

  • For individuals seeking to reissue their veterinary license or restore a canceled license, the photo specifications will be changed from a half-length photo (3 cm wide and 4 cm tall) to a passport-sized photo (3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm tall).
