Since, recently, the damage from environmental pollution increases rapidly, it is urgent to establish measures to save resources and facilitate recycling.
Therefore, this amendment aims to help control waste and facilitate the recycling of resources by raising the upper limit of the administrative fine of three million won under the current Act to five million won when failing to comply with standards for the quality of packing materials and packing methods of products or when violating the obligation under the current Act for waste reduction and recycling including the offer of disposable products free of charge (Article 41 (1)).
