Since the demand for the expansion of green spaces in urban and other residential areas is increasing, this Act aims to contribute to improving people’s quality of life through plant resources by allowing arboreta, gardens, and facilities installed therein to provide people with places for healthy leisure and rest and a means for urban regeneration to the extent that does not damage development restriction zones.

Add arboreta, gardens, and facilities installed therein to a list of facilities that can be established in development restriction zones with approval from the head of a Si/Gun/Gu (Article 12, subparagraph 1-3 newly inserted).
