KOTRA announced that it held a signboard hanging ceremony for the support center for software distribution in Silicon Valley, the U.S. on January 18th (local time).

KOTRA President Cho Hwan-eik had a strategy meeting with the heads of ten Korea Business Centers in the Americas after the ceremony.

Officials of six companies, selected as ‘Global Software Start Companies’ by KOTRA, also participated in the meeting. They are Somansa Co. Ltd., ESTsoft Corp., Infraware Inc., Warevalley Co., Ltd., Jiransoft, and Netkller Co., Ltd.

President Cho said “Korea’s small- and mid-sized companies in the software industry have faced difficulties in advancing into the American market because of the lack of distribution network,” and added “the support center for software distribution in Silicon Valley, the birthplace of information technology, should serve as a bridge between Korean and American companies.”
