The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, a state-owned organization responsible for making small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) more competitive, announced the beginning of the Korea-Vietnam SMEs and Startups Summit in Hanoi, Vietnam. The bilateral corporate event aims to foster business opportunities among SMEs and startups while nurturing collaborative ties between the two nations.

The summit includes various activities, including investment presentations (IR) delivered by chief executives from six promising SMEs and startups, insightful discussions on the current landscape of startup ecosystems in both countries, and appointments for members of a corporate council, which includes officials from governmental bodies, investment entities, and businesses.

During the event, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency President Kang Seok-jin signed a significant business agreement with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the USA, Inc. (KOCHAM), the largest Korean-American business entity in Vietnam. This agreement outlines a collaborative effort to encourage Korean SMEs to enter the Vietnamese market and to provide them with substantial support and opportunities for growth.
