(JEJU=Newsis News) Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) has signed a strategic partnership with Korea's largest web portal Naver to attract Korean tourists to the island.
Based on the agreement, the two parties will work together on a variety of projects including joint campaigns to discover and promote hidden local cultural content, and joint reports on Jeju created using Naver's big data technology.
In particular, JTO will create tourism-related content so that it may be easily searched on Naver by Korean tourists.
According to a JTO source, "by enhancing the reliability of Jeju's tourism content on Naver, JTO hopes to make it easier for Korean tourists to access information online, and use this opportunity to expand the domestic tourism industry."
