Jeju to Attract Tourists from Malaysia

Jeju Special Self-governing Province announced on November 20 that it will prepare and promote strategies to attract Malaysian tourists by promoting the Winter Festival, tangerine picking experience and snowy landscape of Hallasan Mountain.

The Winter Festival will be held from December 20 to January 6, 2019 in the area of Chilseong-ro and Eorimok Square and the tangerine picking experience is an event that is organized from November 3 to December 25 near the farm in Hangpadu-ri, Aewol-eup.

The province will introduce these events to attract tourists during the Korea tourism seminar for travel agencies and press to be held in Kuala Lumpur on November 21 and 24 and in Malacca on 22.

The number of Malaysian tourists to Jeju via AirAisa X since its first flight on December 12 last year was 49,000 as of September. The number has increased by 19.5 percent year-on-year.
