Startup Bay that is intended to support young people to establish an enterprise in Seogwipo-si, Jeju opened on June 4.
Startup Bay will be a venue for exchanges between young people who want to start a business in Seogwipo-si, serving as a place to start or support a business.
It is located on the second and third floors of NH Nonghyp, South Jeju. Currently, 36 teams of young enterprises are moved in.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 100 participants, including Jeju governor Won Hee-ryong, Seogwipo-si mayor Yang Yoon-gyeong, congressman Wi Seong-gon and other officials involved in startup.
Congressman Wi pushed for the opening of Startup Bay as startup support centers used to be concentrated in Jeju-si, while an increasing number of young people moved into Seogwipo-si.
He signed MOU with Seogwipo-si, Nonghyup, and JDC in 2017 to support operation of Startup Bay.
