In order to build private-public partnership thereby fighting against the current climate crisis and raising public engagement and awareness of the commitment to zero emissions, Jeju Province has hosted a civil partnership declaration ceremony to go carbon neutral by 2050 on Apr 19, a pre-event of the 51st anniversary of Earth Day on Apr 22.
In celebration of the event co-hosted by the provincial government and Korea Climate and Environment Network, 35 entities both from the private and the public sectors have presented.
The provincial government shifted the format of the event, making it go virtual (and partially offline) due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, and to go live on YouTube.
