Jeju to hold "Art Festa in Jeju" in October

Jeju Self-Governing Province said on May 31 that it has begun to prepare Art Festa in Jeju to be held in October, having finished selecting participating artists.
86 artists from Korea (65 indoor exhibition, 17 outdoor installation, 4 indoor media and installation) and 10 artists from Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province-Jeju's international exchange city.

Art Festa in Jeju will run in Tamna Cultural Plaza and Sanjicheon from October 15-31 for 17 days.

The festival will exhibit art works expressing identity and history of Jeju.

Special exhibition (Citizens Challenge Project) in which around 300 citizens directly participating in art production will also be held.

An official said, "We will run Art Festa in Jeju in a differentiated way from other art festivals, nurturing it as Jeju's representative culture and art festival where citizens communicate with art in their everyday living places."
