The International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE), which reviews the current status of the e-mobility industry and provides business opportunities to companies, will be held next month.

The 8th International Electric Vehicle Expo Organizing Committee announced on August 29 that it will hold its 8th EXPO at the Jeju International Convention Center (ICC Jeju) and online from September 7 to 10.

Various programs such as B2B business meetings, PR shows, exhibitions, conferences, and test drive experiences will be run during the EXPO period. In particular, there will be a conference on electric ships in reflection of current electrification trend that is expanding from automobiles to ships.

The e-mobility companies will introduce ultra small cars, two- and three-wheeled cars, commercial cars, buses, and farm machines as well as passenger cars. DPECO's ultra-small trucks, which have started mass production built with purely domestic technology and well received in domestic and overseas markets, will also be on display. Various product groups in the field of batteries and charging infrastructure will also be introduced.

Various upstream and downstream parts and materials related to electric vehicles such as electric motors, inverters, and sensors will also be on display. In addition, visitors can witness various future new technologies such as autonomous driving, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics.

In addition, a round table attended by global experts will be held to discuss various issues related to Urban Air Mobility - which has been in the limelight as a flying e-mobility.

On the occasion of the EXPO, the 6th General Assembly of the Global EV Association (GEAN) will be held at ICC Jeju on the EXPO's opening day. Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Executive Vice Chairman who will deliver a keynote speech, domestic business figures, ambassadors and commerce officers of foreign embassies in Korea, and officials from local governments will attend the GEAN General Assembly to share the trends of the global EV industry and major policies, and to exchange ideas to build a real business ecosystem.

Meanwhile, there will be an opportunity to test drive the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the first entirely electric vehicle in Korea, and the Nexo, the first hydrogen vehicle in Korea.
