According to Yonhap News,

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province said on September 22 that it would run various pre-marine leisure activity programs before and after the opening of the 2nd International Marine Leisure Expo.

Jeju International Marine Leisure EXPO was initiated to foster the marine leisure tourism industry, gaining attention as a blue ocean, as Jeju’s new growth engine.

It will be the second EXPO following last year, opening on October 21.

As a pre-event for the EXPO, Jeju will operate various marine leisure experience programs from September 25 to October 24.

The experience programs will be operated every Saturday and Sunday. Those who want to participate can make prior registration on the website of the Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo.

For those who make prior registration, experience vouchers will be issued.

The province will also run a campaign to promote the use of tumblers to prevent marine environment pollution.

The Organizing Committee of the EXPO will give out tumblers to those who make a post of photos proving marine waste collection activities in the province,.

Besides, a public contest on the marine leisure idea content will be held by September 30, which can be applied online, through the website of the Jeju Marine Leisure website email.
