Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation (JPDC) announced on January 14 that it had signed MOU on joint research and development of eco-friendly packaging on the previous dayt in the presence of officials including CEO Kim Jeong-hak and President Lee Nak Kyu of Korea Institute of Industrial Technology.

This agreement was initiated to promote eco-friendly packaging ▲technology development ▲business cooperation ▲technology exchange for sustainable development of Jeju resources based on eco-friendly green packaging technology for carbon neutrality and environmental, social and governance (ESG) management of the packaging industry.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate to ▲reduce plastics and develop innovative products using eco-friendly new materials, new technologies, and new designs ▲share eco-friendly packaging technology, information, trends, and networks ▲discover and implement joint research and development tasks in eco-friendly packaging technology and distribution/logistics fields, and ▲utilize infrastructure for prototype analysis and evaluation, among others.
