According to Newsis,

The Jeju Tourism Authority is determined to carry out marketing activities to attract foreign tourists in connection with other regions in Korea.

Jeju provincial government and Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) announced on June 29 that they are hosting a Fam Tour by inviting the Singapore Online Travel Agency (OTA) and the media for three days, on June 28-30, in collaboration with the Singapore branch of the Korea Tourism Organization and Jeju Air.

This Fam Tour was designed to jointly promote Busan and Jeju to potential Singaporean travelers in connection with the Singapore-Busan route, which Jeju Air has resumed operations since June 24.

In this Fam Tour, KKday and Klook, which are popular online travel platforms, HHWT (Have Halal, Will Travel), a Muslim media, and GirlStyle, a 2030 women's media, are participating.

This Fam Tour was planned to introduce various contents such as wellness, local tourism, and eco-friendly travel as well as new tourism contents of Jeju to Singapore consumers.

As local governments have been aggressively trying to attract international direct flights after the resumption of international tourism, Jeju authorities plan to use this as an opportunity to promote tourism products in which travelers visit Jeju after having a stopover other regions.

To this end, they will strengthen cooperation with the airlines operating international routes, and develop joint products through ongoing business consultations with overseas travel agencies.

An official from the JTO's global marketing group said, "We plan to actively attract direct flights and charter flights to revitalize Jeju tourism, while strengthening marketing in connection with air routes having a layover in other regions to create continuous demand for tourism."
