According to Yonhap News,

Jeju-si is poised to incentivize participants in the carbon point system who have contributed to carbon-neutral living by reducing energy consumption in the first half of 2022.

The incentives will be given to 18,827 households out of 74,125 homes (as of the end of November 2022) that participated in the carbon point system, and a total amount of the incentive amounts to KRW 229.68 million.

Incentives plan to provide a total of KRW 121.05 million in cash and green card points to 9,388 households and a total of KRW 107.83 million in the local currency Tamnannun-jeon to 9,373 homes. The carbon point system provides incentives twice a year to households that meet the standard for energy consumption reduction compared to the average monthly consumption of the past two years at home or shopping malls.

The city noted that 31,644 households reduced electricity use by 11,445 MWh, reducing 5,560 tons of greenhouse gas.
