According to Yonhap News,

Feasibility study for new metro routes, including Incheon metro line number 3

On Apr. 3, Incheon announced a feasibility study on new metro routes, including Incheon metro line number 3 (a circle line).

The city plans to invest KRW 970 million by October 2025 to commission specialized agencies to establish the 2nd Incheon urban rail network plan (2026-2035).

Feasible routes will be determined based on available resources and investment priorities after economic effects of each route are analyzed.

Once the plan is come up with by the city of Incheon, it will be dealt with in prior consultations in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and reflect the consensus built across the public and Incheon Metropolitan Council before being passed to the MOLIT.

Incheon expects to have the plan approved by the 2nd half of 2025.
