According to Yonhap News,


Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education and Korean Intellectual Property Office reached an agreement on nurturing talents regarding intellectual property rights and expand invention education on Apr. 20.

The two affirmed through the MOU that they will boost cooperation for fostering future talents, solidifying mutual efforts in supporting invent education centers, providing new educational programs about invention, and expanding the curriculum of invention education.

The area for cooperation also covers various training programs for teachers and school staff members, as well as joint research efforts to ensure a high quality curriculum.

Students in Chuja Island which lacks the aceess to invention education will be the first ones who are given customized learning courses by grade and field trip programs from Apr 24th to 16th and the next will be those in Gapado and Udo island from May 2nd to 4th.

In addition, the scope of invention and IP right education in Jeju island will be expanded with further efforts by encouraging students to take part in invention education programs organized by the International Intellectual Property Training Institute.
