A forum will be held to promote "ASEAN Plus Alpha" (+α), a major policy of the 8th popularly elected Jeju local government, and to lay the foundation for exports of Jeju contents.
Jeju-do announced on August 11 that it plans to hold the 2023 Jeju ASEAN+α K-Content Forum in December.
ASEAN+α is a policy allowing Jeju to expand exchanges with 10 ASEAN countries and new southern countries including India by utilizing its geographical advantages and brand values.
The forum will be consisted of opening ceremony, keynote speeches, business exchange programs, exhibitions, buyer consultations, and other events.
About 700 people, including domestic and international experts in content and officials from related companies, universities, and organizations, are expected to attend.
The forum aims to lay the foundation for Jeju's content industry to enter ASEAN countries beyond geographic boundaries.
