According to Yonhap News,

The "Special Interest Travel" product, one of the themes Jeju presented to overseas tourists, is gaining popularity.

On March 27, the Jeju Tourism Organization announced that bicycles and trekking clubs' members in Singapore visit Jeju every year, and they are expected to visit Jeju continusously throughout the year in small groups starting in March this year.

JTO designed the Jeju products in collaboration with Singapore's Shangri-La Cycling Tour (SCT) Club in 2022, and 39 members of the club traveled 243km along Jeju's fantastic bicycle road on March 22 to 27 this year, following March and October last year.

Jeju Fantastic Bicycle Road was designed to allow travel around coastal roads in Jeju-si, Seogwipo-si, and Udo.

In particular, Jeju's coastal roads are gaining popularity among bikers thanks to its relatively flat, easy and beautiful scenery.

The case in point is Jeju cycling tour product scheduled for this October, which was already sold out due to high popularity, making new product planned addtionally for November.

JTO plans to jointly develop and support Jeju Olle trail tourism products with Travel Wander, a Singapore travel agency specializing in outdoor activities.

Jeju Olle trail tourism products are perfect for Singaporeans who want to enjoy "healing while walking" in Jeju's nature, which has been also planned targeting Singaporean club members.

Three teams (29 members in total) are planned to visit Jeju in small groups of around 10 people from March to April.

According to JTO's analysis, Singaporean tourists are continuing to visit Jeju thanks to constant overseas marketing efforts and the operation of direct flights.

Singapore-flagged Flyscoot has been operating round trips to Jeju five times a week since 2022.
