On February 6, Jeju-do announced that it will participate in the "TTE (Travel Tour Expo) 2025," a tourism exhibition to be held at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines, from February 7th to the 9th, in collaboration with the Jeju Tourism Organization and the Jeju Tourism Association.
At the exhibition, Jeju-do plans to promote its tourism at two booths in the Korean Pavilion, organized by Manila office of the Korea Tourism Organization.
It will also focus on promoting its unique cultural and tourism resources, such as the Haenyeo culture, the Olle Trail, and the Year of Visiting National Heritage Sites, and actively engage in efforts to attract Filipino tourists.
The event is expected to feature over 300 exhibitors and attract more than 100,000 visitors.
Jeju-do increased the number of direct charter flights from 11 last year to 18 this year through a local tourism agency in the Philippines.
The number of Filipino tourists visiting Jeju last year reached 18,854, a 103.6% increase from the previous year.
