According to Yonhap News,

Jeju-do will provide up to KRW 15 million in support for travel agencies that develop tourism products using Jeju's unique ecological resources, such as Gotjawal forests and Oreum volcanic cones.

On February 27, Jeju-do announced that it will hold a 'Ecological Theme Tourism Resource Development Project' competition to strengthen the competitiveness of the local travel industry and promote regional tourism through the use of ecological resources. The application deadline is set for the 12th of next month.

The competition is open to experience-based tourism products that combine Jeju's ecological resources, such as Gotjawal, wetlands, Oreum, ecological trails, and natural recreation forests, with historical and cultural stories, as well as storytelling.

A total of 10 travel agencies based in Jeju will be selected.

The selected agencies will receive up to KRW 15 million in project funding, which can be used for product development activities, such as fam tours, promotional expenses, and operational costs.

Additional incentives will be provided for products that excel in attracting customers.

Details of the competition can be found on the official website of Jeju-do.
