According to Yonhap News,

On June 17, Jeju-do announced that it will establish 'Listed Companies Nurturing Fund No. 2' to support the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and venture companies to the level of a stock exchange listing and to encourage well-performing companies to relocate their headquarters to Jeju-do.

The fund will require investments to be made in companies with their headquarters in Jeju or those planning to relocate their headquarters to Jeju, with a commitment to invest more than double the amount of capital invested. The fund has been designed as a "Jeju settlement-type investment", with a goal of not only providing funding, but also ensuring that the invested companies establish a long-term presence and grow sustainably in Jeju.

The fund will raise over KRW 2.5 billion (based on the provincial investment portion) through investments from Jeju Province, relevant local agencies, private funds, and a public fund matching scheme. The scale of the fund may increase further if additional agreements with local institutions for further investments are made.

The fund will be in operation for 8 years, from 2025 through 2033, with an investment period of up to 4 years.

The province is recruiting fund managers publicly until June 30th, with plans to finalize the fund manager in August and form the fund by October to begin full-scale investments.

The first 'Listed Companies Nurturing Fund No.1' (managed by TS Investment) was established last year, and it has already completed investments in one company planning to relocate to Jeju, with another investment in a local company upcoming.
