A public rental-type Jeju Knowledge Industry Center, designed for companies in such fields as knowledge-based industries and ICT, has been completed in Ara-il-dong, Jeju-si.
According to Jeju Province on June 19th, the Jeju Knowledge Industry Center occupies a site area of 8,812㎡, with one basement floor, four above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 8,467㎡. It provides space for 37 companies, along with supporting facilities such as a cafeteria, conference rooms, and a fitness center. The total project cost was KRW 30.35 billion ( KRW 16 billion from the national government, KRW 14.35 billion from the local government).
The target industries for this center include manufacturing, knowledge-based industries, ICT industries, as well as energy, advanced digital, and bio companies, allowable under the "Industrial Cluster Activation and Factory Establishment Act."
Currently, companies located in other regions can also rent space in this center if they move their operations to Jeju.
Jeju Technopark will operate the center and is also recruiting tenant companies.
Interested companies can apply online through the Jeju Industrial Information Service website (https://jeis.or.kr) by July 9th.
There will be a briefing session for companies wishing to move in at Inno Cafe, Jeju Venture Maru, on June 27.
