KRS, a company specialized in the aerospace and defense, to move its HQ to Jeju

On November 20th, Jeju-do signed an MOU on the relocation of headquarters and investment with KRS (Korean Radar Systems), the first investment company of the "Jeju Listed Companies Fostering Fund No.1".

KRS is a high-tech company specializing in the development and manufacturing of key electronic components for the aerospace and defense industries, such as radars and amplifiers. The company aims to list on the KOSDAQ.

With excellent talent and core technology, KRS has a strength in the development of radar systems for the defense industry. The company is expanding its business into the civilian sector by utilizing radar sensor technology for disaster and safety, agriculture, healthcare, traffic information collection, and autonomous vehicle centers.

On September 23, KRS entered into an investment agreement worth KRW 2 billion with TS Investment, the operator of the Listed Companies Fostering Fund No. 1. This investment was approved on the condition that KRS relocates its headquarters to Jeju.

Jeju-do plans to provide both administrative and financial support to facilitate KRS's relocation to the Knowledge Industry Center next month.

Jeju Governor stated at the signing ceremony held at the Jeju Provincial Office, "Since the announcement of Jeju's space industry vision in February 2023, we have been steadily building a space industry ecosystem through cooperation with Hanwha Systems, Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), and others. This agreement, made at the time of the completion of the Jeju Hanwha Space Center, will be a decisive turning point for Jeju to become a hub for private-sector space industry innovation."
