According to Yonhap News,

SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- Passenger traffic on Jeju Air Co.'s Japan routes exceeded 4 million in 2025, mainly driven by a weak yen, the company said Monday.

The number of passengers on the South Korean budget carrier's Japan routes reached a record high of 4,027,000 last year, up 4.8 percent from 3,842,000 the previous year, Jeju Air said in a press release.

"On top of a weak yen, an increased supply of flights and a growing preference for short-distance trips buoyed the figure," it added.

By route, the Incheon–Narita service carried the most passengers at 601,000, followed by Incheon–Osaka with 574,000 and Incheon–Fukuoka with 522,000.

Foreign passengers, including Japanese nationals, accounted for 32.6 percent of the total last year, the company said.

Jeju Air, the country's largest low-cost carrier, currently operates six domestic routes and 62 international routes using a fleet of 43 aircraft. Of these, 17 routes serve major Japanese cities.
