The Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center (JCEI) announced on the 28th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jeju Contents Agency (JCA) to create an ecosystem for founding and nurturing content companies.

This agreement aims to discover and foster startups based in the content industry and strengthen support tailored to their growth stages. The two organizations plan to create a cooperative system that allows companies to grow and expand stably by linking their respective expertise and networks.

Under the agreement, the two agencies will cooperate on:
- Discovering and nurturing content startups and entrepreneurs.
- Collaborating on Open Innovation and creating funds to foster local content companies.
- Connecting content companies to invigorate 'Jeju Workation' programs and sharing spaces.
- Developing and operating support programs for domestic and international content startups.
- Strengthening the competitiveness of the AX (AI Transformation) startup and innovation ecosystem.

In this process, the "Jeju Content Enterprise Support Center," currently being established by the JCA, will be used as a key hub for corporate support. The agencies intend to seamlessly connect the support flow from early-stage startups to investment attraction and scale-up.

Furthermore, leveraging various cooperation tools such as workation linkages and shared spaces/networks, the two institutions plan to expand exchanges with content companies both inside and outside the province, striving to enhance the openness and competitiveness of Jeju's overall content industry.

"With this agreement, we plan to strengthen the foundation for content startups to grow and expand in Jeju, and further extend the content startup ecosystem together with the Jeju Contents Agency," said Lee Byung-sun, President of JCEI.
